Five arrested in Ward County narcotics drug operation

MINOT, N.D. - Five people are in custody in Ward County following a drug task force operation.

Court records indicate that a narcotics officer arranged a meeting Monday with 28-year-old Adam Brown to purchase methamphetamine.

During the attempted drug deal, Brown and 41-year-old Robbie Joe Carpenter were taken into custody.

Officers found seven bags with drugs in the car and later found a pound of methamphetamine inside a suitcase during a search of a Corvette owned by Carpenter.

Fifty-nine-year-old William Foondle and 29-year-old Christy Monington were also arrested following a search warrant at an apartment in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue NW in connection with the operation.

Twenty-one-year-old Eric Rodr was also arrested during the attempted drug deal for possession of a controlled substance.

Brown, Carpenter, Foondle and Monington all face AA-felony drug charges, and could face up to life in prison without parole if convicted.

All five will be back in court May 26.
