On March 18, 2017 officers responded to Marketplace Foods-1930 S. Broadway for a report of a stolen vehicle.
The reporting party stated that he had left his vehicle running outside of the store, while he ran inside; when he returned the vehicle was gone.
OnStar was contacted and was able to disable the vehicle and provided a current location for the vehicle at the intersection of Hiawatha St, and 16th Ave SE.
Officers and a Highway Patrol trooper located the vehicle and subsequently arrested the occupant, forty year old Aaron Baker, for theft of a Motor Vehicle.
Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located during a search of Baker's belongings .
Baker was transported to the Ward County Jail, where he was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle (C Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (C Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Other (C Felony), and Driving Under Suspension-4th Offense (A Mis).
